Our very good friends Patty and Dave are coming from Pennsylvania to be at our wedding. They traveled thousands of miles by plane and hundreds by road when, just 2 miles from their destination, they hit a lump of rock at the side of the road and wreck the suspension of their hire car. The Lurker was scrambled to asses the damage. A bent strut. That car isn't going any further... So near, and yet...
