Luckily it looks like a non-venomous garter snake. We get coral snakes that are about that size! Great shot. Voted.

I've got two myself, but they come in only with frogs, dragonflies and butterflies; we don't have snakes, and they are too slow for the birds (birder's cat's for sure)!!!
