Opened in 1927 and located in Waterton Lakes National Park in Alberta, Canada, the Prince of Wales Hotel is one of the most photographed hotels in North America. A dramatic curtain of the Canadian Rockies surrounds this stately hotel set high on a bluff overlooking Waterton Lake and the town of Waterton. As part of the Waterton-Glacier International Peace Park, this idyllic location just north of the Canadian border gives the hotel an international flavor. This 86-room hotel, named after Prince Edward, offers a traditional British atmosphere complete with afternoon tea. Its romantic appeal has made it a favorite for honeymooners for more the half a century.
