When I visited my friends Lily, Paul and Bunny in
Chico in March 2008 I was introduced to the wonderful California Habanero hot sauces from Chico.
I could not find them in the shops here in Michigan, so Lily kindly sent some to me.
They arrived in the mail on the very same day that I found some Sierra Nevada Torpedo ale on the shelves of my local supermarket.
This ale is brewed in Chico and Lily had recommended it to me. I love the flavour of Sierra Nevada beers and normally I can only find one or two varieties, so I was very excited
to find Torpedo and it was so funny to find them on the same day that the California Habanero sauces came in the mail! Chico is not a particularly big city, so it is great that it produces such wonderful products.
