Acalypha pendula (Chenille Plant, Fire Tails)

Austin, Texas

I found this in a local plant store and couldn't resist - native to the tropics somewhere. I need to take a better photo of it. It's a tropical plant that doesn't mind our summer heat in the least, but doesn't care too much for the intense sun. It has cute fuzzy pink or red "tails" for flowers. It didn't do very well until it occurred to my feeble brain that I needed to fertilize the plant occasionally.
