Touchdown in Kamchatka

Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky, the capital of the Kamchatka region is an ugly ducking, encircled like so many Soviet-era cities by rows of crumbling apartment blocks, but basks in a superlative natural setting on one of the world's finest natural harbours.
