Thanks for this comment, I find it valuable. This particular shot was not only cropped but post-processed also to highlight the bird. I was standing in the marsh as far as I could get and the sun was beating down hard on it. In post processing I darkened the background as it was a little "washed out" in the original image. I liked the sun in the face. It is also cropped from what was originally a landscape shot so showing the viewer more of what it sees is a great idea and more representative of the original capture - thanks very much for taking the time to look at this and comment.
