Willow Chapel

Kaiserslautern, Germany

60 volunteers from the entire Palatinate region built a chapel from live willows. It is almost 30 meters long and 15 meters high and it is the “Green House of Worship”. Year after year, the willows come into leaf and form a thick natural roof.
Regular worship services are held here on Sundays; also, marriages and baptisms take place in this unique ambience.
