I see an APC down there. Must have been a mechanized infantry or cav unit. Great photo.

Almost impossible to appreciate what this shot represents. It brings the Vietnam War out of the hazy past and casts it in Technicolor. The rich green foliage slashed by the red road takes on a strange feeling when seen under the silhouette of gun muzzle. An odd sense of unreality for those of us who never knew it firsthand.
