... located in the heart of Saigon, it's still in use and is featured in a number of other 'modern Vietnam pbase sites'. There used to be a leper colony on the outskirts of Saigon and, after Sunday mass, a number of the lepers would be positioned by the doors to solicit handouts. A sad sight to be certain ....

Tom, I remember being here in June of "65". I have almost the same photo. As I remember, this area was called(at the time) "John F Kennedy Square". Thanks for the memory.

The Vespas and Lambrettas you are seeing have been restored and are still running around in Saigon. You can rent one. There are Vespa clubs.
