... this old ticket stub was furnished by Bruce Talmadge and was for the HK Island tour which took you right up to the Red China Border (where the guards would eye you closely ... and you they).

... I took a similar tour to the border but out of Macao ...

I too took the tour to the red chinese boarder. My best memory of the trip, was at the end of the day. The tour stopped at a hotel overlooking a very green valley, with a train passing on the valley floor. The dinner was water buffalo steak (which was very good). Was trying to Google the trip, but it probably has been too long, I was there in 1969 in the US Navy. Thanks for the good memories, Star ferry, Tiger blam gardens, etc. Good pictures.
