1918 Ford Three-Ton Tank (WWI)

This early tank was made from commercially-available Ford parts and used a pair of Model-T gasoline engines, one for each track. It was steered by varying the speeds of the two engines.

The two engines produced 48hp which gave the tank a top-speed of 8 MPH. 15,000 of these tanks were ordered but only 15 were manufactured by the time the war ended in 1918 and none ever saw combat.

This is one of the smallest tanks ever built and carried a crew of two and was armed with a water-cooled .30cal Browning machine gun

Hi

I have heard of the Ford Tank but have not seen one until today, I own a 1924 British built Ford model T tourer and would love a picture of the engine bay of this Ford 3 ton Tank and the tank itself. How would I go about obtaining them without breaching copyright please? I am in awe of how the Ford model T engine was used in various applications.
