WWII Japanese Type 95 Light Tank "Ha Go"

Introduced in 1934, it was fast and maneuverable but no match for the heavier US tanks it faced during the Second World War. It had a manual 4-speed transmission, a top speed of about 30mph and carried a crew of three. 3300 of these tanks were produced in Japan between 1937-1943.

This particular tank was captured in 1945 during the battle for the Phillipine Islands

Nice vehicle. Funny tracks, though. I think our tank reached 32 mph. Maybe that was downhill....
Four speed manual trans is hard to fathom. It is enough trouble trying to think "past" the sloppy auto trans we had and the steering, which was actually braking one side at a time.
