April 5th - Nude Demonstration

Well almost.
It just goes to show the benefit of carrying your camera with you and a little serendipity.

I was on my way to lunch today with camera in hand, walking from my car towards the sandwich shop, when I spotted a crowd of people on the corner.
There was some sort of ruckus, so I thought this might be a good opportunity for some pictures.
Boy, was I right. There was a PETA demonstration going on, along with a feeble counter demonstration.
Two girls, nude but for their lower garments, were holding up a banner that was strategically placed to cover their nearly naked bodies.
There were people everywhere, looking and leering, taking pictures with cameras, video, cell phones, whatever they had.

Well, I took the opportunity presented to me and got a few candid people shots. No one was really paying any attention to me, it was like being hidden in plain sight!

I put everything in this gallery:

Oh, and not that anyone will read this, but I'll be on vacation until monday, so I'll post and catch up with everyone when I get back...

Excellent timing & capture here Todd! Great expressons & body language on everyone in this picture. Definately highlights the benefits of having your camera with you.. kind of neat to be 'hidden' in plan site too.

Great photojournalist moment! Great gallery of images, especially shooting the onlookers. :-) Being a vegetarian, non-leather wearing PETA supporter myself I hope it went well! :-)
