January 21st - Hummingbird

An old wise woman once said that Cathi has hummingbird medicine. I have to agree.
Cathi keeps the backyard pretty comfortable for them with lots of flowers and several feeders.
Quite often they will come right up to her and look her in the face as if to say "hello" when she's outside tinkering around.

I'm not much of a wildlife photographer; I prefer people, places and things.
And it takes a lot of patience, quiet patience, something I find myself in short supply of.
I have a lot of respect for those who are good at it.

But I tried it again today and had a little success.
I've been trying for a couple of weeks to get shots of a pair of Anna's hummingbirds that live in our back yard.

lovely shot, the colour is so wonderful with that white background,i´ve heard it´s so hard to photograph these small birds,you captured it so fine.
