Funny, I just thought of the name for this as I started to tell the story...
I got off work tonight and headed towards home when I noticed the skies looked very nice and dramatic. There were all kinds
of clouds with sunlight breaking through, so I decided to drive out past town to get a panorama shot. By the time I got to the
edge of town, though, the skies had closed up and the shot was gone. I kept driving and looking for my shot. I drove out past
the edge of town to the canyon where the river leaves the mountains and heads towards the city. I stopped the car along the
road, got out and wandered down to the riverside to get this shot. Even though the picture I planned and that I wanted didn't
happen, I'm pretty happy with the way this and my alts turned out for tonight.
