Michael

I got together with my friend Michael last night to visit and take some pictures.
We yammered about and then the cameras came out. We took pictures of each other and of his daughter, Alex.
Alex was very tolerant. In fact, she was downright ignorant of us "boys" and our cameras.
I think she pretended to ignore us, really. But she never gave a hint, instead concentrating on her journal.
She's at that age...

PS: levels, unsharp mask, B/W.

Update: Michael has asked me to take down my Alex shot.
He has some concerns about her picture being available on the net and I understand his concern.
However, he didn't mind his picture in his stead so here it is...

Canon EOS 300D Digital Rebel
1/60s f/5.0 at 37.0mm iso400 with Flash full exif

other sizes: small medium large auto

I was concentrating, Russ, trying to master the flash technique Todd was showing me. I don't always look so serious!

Well, his hair isn't quite as long and flowing, but his expression certainly matches that of a concerned father. YIKES!

Well that stopped them dead in their tracks...

I've replaced the picture of Alex with a shot of her dad. Michael was uncomfortable with the idea of her picture being available on the net in recognizable form and I understand.

Very nice capture. Your crop nicely mirrors her long flowing hair. Well shot/seen.
