May 22nd - Hibiscus

The weather was so nice today, in fact it was nice all week. I told Cathi that I thought we were having April's weather in May. At this time of year we're looking at the high eighties to low nineties, but it's been in the seventies all week. So nice we've opened all the windows and doors and let the cool breezes sweep through the house in place of the AC.

I took time out from the "honey-do's" to get a shot of this hibiscus in the back yard garden. There are many of these blooms on the plant and the damn thing's taller than I am. I had trouble deciding between this shot and a shot of the hydrangea in the backyard. Here's the first big hydrangea bloom of the year, my alternate PAD for the day.

This was a great choice for your PaD. I love the vibrant red. The composition is perfect, and leads the viewer through the image. A beautiful photo.
