I got stung by the spider in Montreal Canada this August while sleeping. I opened the light and saw it scamper off but managed to kill it so it could be identified. The bite lasted exactly as described, for one hour. It felt like a wasp bite...very painful. It left its bite mark but after about an hour or so was ok. It was likely in my sheets as described.
