I like the view of the vastness of the water and land shapes. I like the tree on the point of land on the right as it also adds some scale to the vastness of the image.

I like the almost monochromatic colors and as other have said, the sense of scale the foreground provides.

Thanks for the fine view and explanation, Janice. l like the three masted tall ship in the image. Can't make out the rigging but the lack of spars makes me think that it might be a schooner.

I really like the boats in the foreground, because they give scale to the massive view.
