St Mary Redcliffe Church, Bristol.

During the Bristol Blitz in the Second World War a bomb exploded in a nearby street, throwing a rail from the tramway over the houses and into the churchyard of St Mary Redcliffe, where it became embedded in the ground. The rail is left there as a monument.

Nice image of this church as well as the historical story of the unusual foreground object...

What a really interesting story, Tony.
So cleverly illustrated in your fine image.
The classical Gothic church is really beautiful.

Tony, I meant composed, not composted :)

That rail is sure interesting. It must have been thrown deep down in the ground.
St Mary Redcliffe is an attractive church.

Fascinating, Tony. I like the way you composted this - it really tells the story.
