Always interesting to watch these old machines at work. Looks like a great turnout of spectators in the back.

Terry, yes. It was fun to watch the steam engine chugging away. Dave remembers (from his young days) them doing it this way, but with a more modern tractor hooked to the threshing machine. He also said the belt that they used was not this long. He found fault with the way the young men were throwing in their bundles. Dave said his Father taught him to only throw a bundle head first, and only to throw one bundle at a time. :-}
This event is free to the public and held at a different farm every year. The Future Farmers club runs the lunch concession as a fund raising event. I had a Wisconsin brat with fresh pickles. Yum!
We had a lot of fun and I learned a few things about farming.

A very fascinating photo Cindy.
lnteresting that the basic tractor design has not changed in over 100 years.
Just rubber tires and the steam boiler and engine replaced by a diesel.
