Interesting to see a stone house - as so many are wood in USA.
Lovely proportions and looks like a UK influence from way back

Love this, Cindy. Its such fun that you are still using film!
Great tones and textures and story. I think they made folks a lot tougher then.
We are way too soft :)

What a very interesting photo and story Cindy.
Tough people to have lived in a cave that was later used
for cold storage. A very plain no-frills design to the old home.
Fascinating.

Thanks for commenting, Michael. It is big for the day, but it looks to me that the back portion and maybe the side, one story portion, were later add-ons. It is interesting that there is a hill behind the house. The family made a dug-out in the hill and lived there first. The door still remains, as it was later used as a cold-storage cellar. Those must have been cold, hard times on the Minnesota Prarie in the winter.

Truly classic.
Reminds me a little of the homes in Kansas, though this is larger.
Love the local stone, and the warm tones...
