Very nice and a little like the skippers we have here

A very fine photo Michael.
l thought it is a moth because of its hairy body wings and head....
unlike butterflies. Cindy's reason sounds more scientific than mine !

I know next to nothing about moths (assuming that's what this is) but I love
the shot! The purple and green really set off the shades of brown nicely.

I am not an expert on Phylum Lepidoptera, either, but I do believe that this is a variant of Skipper. They can be distinguished from Butterflies by the curved, pointed club at the end of the antennae. There are over 3,000 types of Skippers and many are hard to distinguish. Maybe someone more knowledgeable will chime in. Well, done, Michael.
