What can I say Jim, it just doesn't get any better than this.
I truly admire the effort you put in to get those perfect shots.
Very well done my friend.

Thank you everyone for all your wonderful comments! I shot well over 700 images of the entire event from beginning to end and will create a montage of the various positions throughout. This wasn't a total eclipse, but rather an annular eclipse. Google that to see more information about why this was so special.

When I selected this one to post late last night I thought it looked too perfect; could easily be taken as something created in Photoshop. I assure you, this is for real! I would never risk my reputation for something like that.

I made the return trip in one shot today beginning just north of Reno at abut 7:30 AM and got home just before 9:00 PM tonight, 900 miles! I am wiped out! So it will be a while before I create the final montage.

Great shot Jim. When I saw the thumbnail it looked like you had drawn it.
