Thanks all for the kind comments. This is indeed not far from the house. This hydrangea is next to our deck. It is a huge plant which allowed shooting into the middle of it so the plant provided foreground and background.

The way you have composed this photo is really interesting Steve! With the green on green and blurred foreground and background and the almost abstract structure of the motive in focus it is such a creative and artistic work! Print it large size and hang it n a wall! Would be impressive in most houses!

This is a lovely, soothing abstract. I think it would make a great enlargement and shows that one does not necessarily have to travel far to find a beautiful subject.
