Heavily bracketed exposure, Frank.
I lot about a dozen shots, moving the relative position of the sun and tree about 4 times.
Once I saw What I wanted, I did a LOT of trials.

No editing my friend, how do you retain detail everywhere??
If I took this, I'm almost certain I would have blown the sky or the shadows would be pitch black. Fine work Michael.
