Brave souls

Wisconsin

Like Bob, I'm digging into my hard drive for photos that were passed over or could use a re-processing. It is still gray and gloomy outside.

Every year in May, there is a weekend gathering (near my house) of people who re-enact the pioneer lifestyle. This is not related to the Civil War re-enactments. These folks set up tents and forsake the amenities that we are used to. It usually is cold, windy and damp when this happens. You can see by the smoke on the left in the photo that they have a fire going for warmth.

Nice work. The sepia tones work perfect. Could be from days gone by except for that paper towel roll in the shelf back there. :) Great work, Cindy!

With exception of the wonderful sharpness, you have done a good job of making these appear as period images.

Great image, Cindy. Brings back memories of some of our
early day camping trips, especially the smoke.
The table looks like a work of art. The b&w of course
is perfect!

Most interesting Cindy.
Also beautifully processed and l really love the deckle edge and drop shadow.
The table almost looks as though it's been built on an old Singer Sewing Machine base.
A lovely period piece re-enactment.

This looks like a great time... wish I could join them for a while. It would certainly help me appreciate what creature comforts so much more. Excellent period photo.
