Nooksack River, Washington

Juvenile Bald Eagle
I cropped this quite a bit, but I really wanted to show the nice details in the head feathers against the dark background. Comments or suggestions are encouraged and appreciated!

A wonderful shot Jim. At such an early age it already had that angry stare.

Dream kit for birding used expertly. This is an amazing shot. It looked like a Teddy Bear in the thumb, but that is not a Teddy Bear beak.

Ahhhh, a "dirty bird".
Beautiful rendition, and amazingly sharp and isolated.
Great gear, well used, and a difficult shot to get right, Jim.
Very well-done...

I agree with Terry on the beak area, but don't think it
detracts much from this excellent shot.

Thanks, Terry. You called out the area I thought about after I posted it. Thanks for letting me know your thoughts and your very encouraging comment!

Terrific detail, Jim. Looks like a one-year old. The left side of his/her mouth
looks just a bit hot on my monitor, but overall a wonderful image. Your
5D and 500+1.4x show off your technical and artistic talents beautifully.
