Evening

Shiloh, Tennessee

This evening, I encountered four does under some old oaks, scouring the ground for the remaining acorns. Spring, not far away (I hope) will bring much more variable fare.
One of the deer seemed very curious about me, and watched while I rattled off a few shots.

She has spotted you. Nice tones in this one.

A bit.
She is young, though, and was with several others who were younger.
It has been a bit of a tough winter for them.
However, the pear trees are in bloom here, Pete, so the grasses they like so much will not be far behind. I hope...

Nice shot - perhaps the Doe is a little thin?

Nice catch and they are very curious. She looks a little thin, been a hard winter for everybody.

She thinks that she knows you. She is a beauty.

Nice that they show curiosity and not fear.
A very fine study, Michael
