This shows the woodsy setting nicely. My own bias would be to
move in closer and get detail of the monument, but in doing that
I would miss the context. Thanks for the lesson!

Hi Michael, l'm not only enjoying your fine photographs from the battlefield at Shiloh
but also learning a lot of the history that l didn't previously know, despite
having spent some years in the South. l hope when you return, that you'll continue

These wonderful monuments are very similar to those in Gettysburg.
