This image could be from 1940, 1970 or this day.
I really like the way you handled the back-lighting, Cindy.
The composition is excellent.
And it just FEELS good, warm and somewhat introspective.
Fine work.

Thanks, Cindi, Terry, Bob, Pat, Frank, Hal, Steve, Jim.
It is a (usually busy) diner near the Mayo Clinic. One morning I had to get there very early for tests. When I was done, I walked over to the diner to have breakfast. It was too early for shoppers to be on the street and the diner was almost empty. I liked the lonely feel that this photo had and black and white did the trick.

Well done, looks like a scene from 40 years ago.

This has a comforting old time feel to it Cindy. Very nicely composed, exposed, and processed.

A wonderfully balanced photo, Cindy.
With the empty street a good title could be "Sunday Afternoon".

This is beautiful Cindy, the B&W works so well with this image.
I must try some B&W shots myself some time.

Whoops… I meant to say "oozing" instead of using. Silly spellchecker. :-)

This shot is just using atmosphere. Wish I was there.

What a classic! Love your composition and
b&w treatment. Makes me feel like I am back
in the 50s :)

The graininess works well in this shot. Gives a feel of lonliness.
