Africa Scene

Palm Springs, CA

A shot for our friend, Hal.
This image I recently found unedited, and cropped it and re-sized it for TTL.
I shot it at the Desert Zoo, Palm Springs, California, last November.
Great place to visit.

Well, I hate to see things out of their natural habitat... That palm trees certainly doesn't belong there...:D
Beautiful shot Michael...

Wow wow & wow again, now this is how a zoo should be.
At first i thought it was a picture of a painting.
This shot has it all, fantastic animals in a fantastic location.
The position of the giraffes and ostrich, mountains behind & wonderful clouds.
This is one of the best wildlife shots I have ever seen, oh I am envious of this one my friend.

Fantastico, Michael. Your timing was fabulous. The image has
a very 3D feel and is ultra sharp (now that I have two new
lens implants!).

Michael, Your timing was perfect. This is a real winner. The colors and clarity are superb.

A huge WOW from me as well. When I saw the thumbnail I though
you had discovered some new Photoshop skill and gone a bit
over the edge, but this is fantastic.

Super shot with the crossed necks, interesting that this is a clearer atmosphere than I saw in my one African visit - but very natural

Michael, WOW, this is simply mind blowing! This is one of THE best wildlife shots I've ever seen. I don't care that it was in a zoo, its just amazing. The colors, the lighting, the sharpness, the position of the animals... well everything is just perfect! Congrats, this is exceptional.

This shot, although it was taken on the other side of the world,
makes my heart skip a beat whenever l look at it.
The animals are so familiar to me, even the male ostrich, surveying the scene.
And the mountains just "blow me away". So much like an almost identical scene
in the Drakensberg Mountains, called Mont aux Sources.
Thank you so much for this little piece of nostalgia Michael.
