Red Admiral

Wisconsin

I had Red Admirals and Monarchs in my butterfly garden this morning. Since Pat showed us his spectacular Monarch on the Lily, I will show the Red Admiral. This Red Admiral landed on my camera lens for a while and briefly on my hand.

I love the little yellow flowers around the outside edge of the stamens.... Lots of detail and lots of colour is what I like In a photo...

I have been looking at this image for quite a white, Cindy.
The sharpness and DOF are perfect.
The part amazing to me, the most amazing that is, is the perfect exposure of all the image and perfect bokeh surrounding.
I don't know how you get the subject in better focus, and the remainder better OUT of focus than this.
This is a masterwork...

they really have great color but I think I like your swallowtail even better.

and Pat are to have so many and such spectacular beauties.
