For Sherri

It is not every day one buys a lens that thrills them from the start.
I bought a new (to me) Canon 135/3.5 from KEH, that was rated EX+, and I cannot tell it has ever been mounted.
This is my first result with my M8 from this lens.
Your honest appraisal is sought here...I was pretty bowled over...
This is one of my bride's orchids, this evening...

Hi Michael, it is difficult to give a true critique on a photo after it has been uploaded through PBase; photos lose a lot of their true colour and sharpness in my opinion. However, to me the colour and overall brightness needs to be lifted. I also feel that the photo is a little soft, due to camera shake and not due to the lens; (1/45sec is quite slow to hand hold a 135mm lens), mind you, this is very, very slight. The clip is a bit annoying, but easily edited out with the cloning tool, which I have done. Bokeh is beautiful and soft, and this photograph would be complimented with a beautiful border...

I have an edited version if you would like to see it... my own personal touch, but very subtle...

I am curious though, how does a Canon lens (FD I am presuming), fit on a leica? are they the same mount?

Thanks, pete.
You are right.
I was so excited with the look of things, I just cropped, adjusted contrast and down-scaled and posted...

At large size it looks good, at original looks better, so printed it worthy of prime wall space!
PS for me the clip is tiny distraction

A very beautiful photo with your new Lens Michael. Sherri is a lucky lady.
That lens was really a bargain find. Excellent photo.

The bokeh really knocked me out!

Congratulations on the new lens!
I agree the bokeh is very nice.
On my monitor, the overall image appears
a bit soft, but quite lovely.

It looks like your new lens is a keeper. It certainly is sharp and has creamy bokeh.
