A most unlikely pair, but I doubt that either one feels threatened. Nicely capture of this spontaeous moment.

That is so interesting that they are out there together. Great capture here!

Well, Pete, part of the prolem here was the fact that my typing, especially into my iphone, can be terrible on occasion.
Leica's are the best lenses available, but they are manual lenses, and Leicas are rangefinders, not SLR's. For more info, email me and I'll fix you up. The lens is roughly 35 years old, which in the Nikkor/Canon world, is unheardof. Leicas can use, very well, lenses made before WW II.

These two guys together in the wild is so good, but I don't understand your technical stuff about the lens

Cindy:
I don't think I have shot enough to see.
These were fun shots with the M8, but you know how small the focusing latch is.
I bought the les primarily for the ML, and I should finishing a roll this morning.
It is like shooting a 90, when I use the 0.85 finder.

We'll see over the weekend...

Sorry I haven't been around much to comment lately, but rest assured that I have enjoyed your work, Michael! This one is no exception! :-)

Nice timing. You caught the deer looking right at you.
I agree that you are front-focused. Do you think the lens has an issue? KEH has a repair department and I'm sure they would take care of this. Did you take enough shots to get a feel for what is happening?
Michael Edwards02-Jul-2010 00:46
No, Terry, that is a new lens issue..

Wow. To get one of these creatures would be good.
To get two together must be quite rare. Nicely done Michael.

Very nice composition, Michael. And wonderful subjects.
It looks like the point of focus is in front of the subject(s). Is
that a range-finder-issue?
