A Market

One of my favorite subjects, since I pass it every day going to work, I know the old store was a grocery for at least 40 years, but it has also been a pool hall, a motorcycle repair shop, a small engine shop, and a shop for, shall we say, the sale of "illegal spirits", i.e. "Moonshine" in its career.
It is currently vacant, but available...

Would it be possible to take more pics of this building? I would like to see the sides, back and roof of it. Thanks.

Is everyone posting photos of old shops? I'l have to get mine in as well.... I always try to imagine what an old building would look like 20 or 30 years ago, probably a thriving little business... nice warmth to this shot...

Great image Michael, I guess the pepsi would be out of date!

This building has character... so interesting the building materials used..the home made cement blocks the corrugated steal , doors and unusual windows.

A fixer-upper perhaps! Bet these walls could tell a tale or two. Andrea

Nice place - we have been looking for a place to sell English cream tea's - perhaps that would catch on there. Certainly a very adaptable looking building.

The old, faded PepsiCola signs are fabulous. So when is the grand opening?

Great photo Michael.
Really makes one want to own and tidy the place up.
A gallery would be great with with little passing traffic
lt would need a lot of advertising...... and probably security ;(

Michael, This place is oozing charm. I love this photo. I think you should consider this spot for a gallery location (as has been suggested by Jim and Terry.)

Want to know the truth?
I rejected the idea only because of the low level of traffic from passer-by...I'd have to make my own home brew to pay the rent!
Terry 29-Jun-2010 01:05
I agree with Jim - a perfect place for your studio, Michael. Wonder what
the rent would be :)

Looks like a great place for you to open as a photo art gallery!
