I had to shoot this one in very low light, as the NWR people put out food for the quail just after sunrise in a shaded area. The 40D did well at ISO 1600, and my tripod and the lens's image stabilizer allowed me to get a sharp image at a slow shutter speed, even with 700mm worth of glass.
