This bird popped into view when I was photographing Lewis's Woodpeckers at the east end of Rotary Park, east of Loyalton in Sierra Valley. It looks like its head is bigger than its body -- mostly the effect of the angle I was shooting at. Plumage looks worn, apparently an adult female.
