This bird shows mostly gray upperparts feathers, rather than brownish, and a rich saturated chestnut-red neck-streak, both suggesting that it is a female; on the other hand, the neck streak extending all the way to the eye is a good mark for male according to Birds of North America Online. On expert advice, I'm leaving this one undecided as to sex.
