Pacific-slope Flycatcher

Frenchman's Park, Stanford campus

The earliest I've photographed a bird of this species, and the first arriving nester of any species seen in Spring 2017.

This bird, likely a male, formed a pair and nested in a tangle of trees on the edge of Frenchman's Park. I have later photos of this bird or its mate on 4/28, 5/15, and 6/28.

I also have photos of a bird of this species, probably this bird or a mate, in the same spot in previous years: 2010, 2011, 2012, 2013, 2014, 2016.
