Thousands of bats emerge after sunset from the Congress Street Bridge each night. Amazing sight! I am told a lot of them have gone to Mexico for the winter but will return. It is the biggest urban collection of bats in the world. Only in Texas! This area sits right in the middle of town and gets all kinds of spectators. I shot this from on top of the bridge. It was so dark that I had to use a flash but didn't want to. But, it shows some of the amazing bats taking flight!
