A few years ago while staying at a B & B in Howarth I was reading an old Picture Post dated 10th April 1948. There was an article about Beatrice Parkinson who looked after the lighthouse at Plover Scar Cockersands. I can not remember much about the article but it caught my imagination and I jotted down these few details.
