I ADMIRE THE AMISH PEOPLE. THEY REMIND ME OF GODS GOODNESS AND ORIGINAL PLAN FOR US. WHENEVER I VISIT LANCASTER COUNTY PA, I AM ENCOURAGED, INSPIRED AND AT PEACE. I THANK THE LORD FOR SUCH A PEOPLE AS THESE. GOD BLESS THE AMISH PEOPLE

Duggy, this is the stupidest thing ever.... If we did as Amish do, we would not have any progress whatsoever. No music, no art, no sculpture, no science, no great books. In addition to that not enough food, shorter life span, because of the poor education and poor medical service… Oh, I can continue forever. I respect Amish way of living, but this is a very specific point of view and not only many people do not consider it for themselves, many think if the entire word would live like Amish do, this would be a crime against humanity.

if all humans did as the amish do , we would not have the pollution or resource depletion ; or war in iraq; or sub prime / prime meltdown ; my scooter came from china ; 16" wheels

I am doing a paper for a religion class in college......my subject matter is the socialization process that Amish children undergo while attending their schools. These two children look like they are headed to or returning to school. GREAT photo!!!!!!!

saw a guy on one of these gong to work in Minneapolis the other day:)....amazing how these folks have suvived as an agi society thru the various stages of automation and digitation...beautiful pics!!...get tearful everytime I see a broadcast of the massacre of those little girls Cath
