Glaucidium siju siju
This is the commonest and most frequently seen of Cuba's owls. Like most pygmy owls it is easily seen in the daytime (always a bonus). Two races of this owl have been recognised, with vittatum described from the Isle of Pines and the Guanhacabibes Peninsula.
