Watching waves

Corbiere, Jersey

Taken this weekend 11/3/2006 at the grotto near Corbiere.
The tide was high, the wind was freezing and penetrating
through bone and marrow. A wind chill factor of -5 C and
still she went for it; lying still on the cold rocks for
as long as it would take me to get a few good shots. This
is using available light, F22 1/15, ISO L (50), a bit of
burning and dodging in PS and my trusted Manfrotto tripod.

Beautiful! I like the model's soft white curves against the dark rocks and the contrast of the chaotic waves.

Whow guys, thanks for the fantastic feedback and the many votes. I really did not anticipate that when I posted this image in the almost hidden sub galeries. I am flattered and the model will be impressed! You have made my day, or rather, week. I guess that the shot turned into quite a success after all, despite the cold wind...

A beautiful capture Kees. Great tonality.
This shot... [URLhttp://i.pbase.com/o4/30/536130/1/57324278.theendoftheday.jpg[URL] was taken in Guernsey a couple of days after yours. I don't know, somehow the Guernsey coastline seems to lack a certain something compared with Jersey's ;) Mike
