Open cat bite wound

Thought this was a fresh wound however looking closer it is probably 5 to 7 days old.
While there is just a low grade infection present in the wound this will probably take a long time filling in and closing. Our Veterinarian recommended surgery to help this wound to heal better faster.

Canon PowerShot SD800 IS
1/60s f/7.1 at 4.6mm full exif

other sizes: small medium original auto

That looks like a pretty deep cat bit that he or she has on their neck. I wonder if the other cat is injured this bad too. Hopefully this cat sees a veterinarian soon so it can get treatment to get that injury healed up.http://myuniversitypethospital.com/la-mesa-veterinary-hospital-veterinary-services
