        Finish: Rubbed Linseed Oil followed by Satin Varnish.

        Size: Each figure is 13"H x 4" x 4"

        Notes: These carvings were inspired by a reading of Don Quixote de la Mancha by Miguel de Cervantes. Published in two parts (Part I in 1605 and Part II in 1615), this work is recognized as the first modern novel. Certain features of the carvings are taken from descriptions in the book, while others were imagined based on the reading. The pieces attempted to capture the unswerving determination of the unorthodox knight errant and the apprehension of his faithful squire as yet another ill-fated adventure unfolds.
