Two Ducts

The Chirk Aqueduct carries the Llangollen Canal over the River Ceiriog,is 70ft. high and supported by ten semi-circular arches each spanning 40ft. This Thomas Telford structure was completed in 1801.
The nearby Railway Viaduct stands 30ft. higher than the aqueduct and was completed in 1848 by Scottish engineer Henry Robertson.
