HIP 43717 (HD 76380) is an orange giant star in the constellation Vela (Seen in the middle of the frame)
It lies in the surrounding of the Vella SNR at an apparent visual magnitude of 6.97.

My favourite of your Namibian images, its so nice to see a closeup of the Vela SNR that doesn't focus on the central part. The small emission nebula on top left is RCW 34.
